Bechstein Model IV 7'2" Grand Piano

Rimshot’s piano represents the end of a long search ...

The Bechstein dates from the 1890s, when Carl Bechstein was still alive and running the factory. It was rebuilt about twenty years ago and brought up to factory spec just before delivery to the studio.

When we were looking for the perfect studio piano, we had in mind something like the famed Trident Studios’ Bechstein piano ...

To this end, we listened to over 15 beautiful pianos during a 12-month period before finding Rimshot’s piano.

The result is an instrument that records beautifully, with a factory-spec keyboard action.

The sound is rich and defined with a sparkling top end. Although versatile, the piano definitely has its own character and sound.

We recommend the piano is tuned prior to each session or project. We have several local tuners who are well acquainted with the piano and provide a great service.

Booker T's Hammond C3Hammond C3 & valve Leslie 122

Previous keepers have included Booker T and Chris Stainton.

The C3 sounds great and is kept up to spec by former chief tech at Hammond UK, Graham Sutton.

Pete’s Hammond – Hammond M102

This is a really special hammond and has been extensively modified. It sounds great on reggae tracks and provides a slightly rockier sound than the C3.
